MicroStrain's range of inertial, directional and tilt sensors includes simple inclinometers (tiltmeter or inclinometer), inertial measurement unit (IMU) and attitude / heading reference system (AHRS) (with or without GPS). These sensors provide tilt angle, linear acceleration and rotation rate as well as pitch, roll and heading, position, velocity and direction in the form of a quaternion or direction matrix.
Model 6255-4250 (3DM-GX5-IMU (3DM-GX5-10)) has no magnetometers, no USB interface and only raw data output (no filtered values).
Model 6254-4220 (3DM-GX5-AR (3DM-GX5-15)) is like 3DM-GX5-10, but RS232 AND USB interface and output of filtered values and raw data.
Model 6253-4220 (3DM-GX5-AHRS (3DM-GX5-25)) is like 3DM-GX5-15, but with triax magnetometers.
Model 6251-4220 (3DM-GX5-GNSS/INS (3DM-GX5-45)) is like 3DM-GX5-25, but with GNSS receiver with Kalman filter for pos. data.
3DM-CV5 IMU

The 3DM®-CV5-10 is the smallest and lightest industrial IMU on the market. It features a fully calibrated and temperature compensated triaxial accelerometer and gyroscope to achieve the optimum combination of measurement qualities under all dynamic conditions. 3DM-GX5-10 - COMPACT INERTIAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
The LORD Sensing 3DM-GX5 series of high performance industrial inertial sensors offer a wide range of triaxial inertial measurements as well as calculated position and navigation solutions. In all models, the inertial measurement unit (IMU) can directly measure acceleration and angular velocity and is fully temperature compensated and calibrated over the operating temperature. The use of Micro Electromechanical System (MEMS) technology enables highly accurate, small and lightweight devices to be achieved. The LORD Sensing MIP Monitor software can be used for device configuration, real-time data monitoring and recording. In addition, customised interfaces and easy OEM integration can be developed using the MIP data communication protocol.
