The Holybro PX4 Vision Kit is specifically designed for universities and research institutions that wish to conduct research in the areas of SLAM, Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance, based on a UAV, using a ready-made development platform. The PX4 Vision Kit is delivered with a pre-configured USB stick containing a set of applications and examples - the development of the algorithms, as well as the installation and integration of ROS flight stacks have to be done by the user.
The PX4 Vision Kit is based on a UP Core Board, which is designed for Ubuntu 18.04 including ROS Melodic. The packages on the included USB stick install the ROS driver for the Occipital 3D camera, MAVROS & the Obstacle Avoidance Package.
