xArm 1304 Series Servo Firmware Update

We wish to inform you of an important firmware update now available for the xArm 1304 series. It is recommended that all users of the xArm 1304 series proceed with this update to ensure their equipment continues to operate at peak efficiency. Important: This firmware update is specifically recommended for the xArm 1304 series. Please ensure that the third and fourth digits of your serial number (SN) are "13" and the fifth and sixth digits are "0" and "4" respectively.

For example:

  • XI130412C23L13 (1304 series)
  • XI130412C23L19 (1304 series)

How to Upgrade the Joint Firmware of xArm 1304 Series

  1. Download the firmware tool using the link above.
  2. Launch xarm-tool-gui-win.exe on a Windows system.
    • Enter the IP of the control box and click [Connect].
    • Switch to [1300/850 Test Tool].

  4. Check the current servo version. If it is lower than V4.0.16, proceed with the firmware upgrade.
  5. To upgrade:
    • Select [Driver board for all joints] and click [Install driver].
    • Press down the E-stop button, wait for 5 seconds, then release it, and click [Next].
    • The system will automatically upgrade the servo firmware.

  7. The upgrade process will take about 1 minute. Once completed, the tool will display "Installation Success!" and the system will reboot automatically.
  8. After the reboot, reconnect the arm and check the servo version. It should now be V4.0.16.
