Description
The T4 Solder Paste Sn42Bi57.6Ag0.4 by Voltera is a lead-free, RoHS-compliant tin-bismuth-silver solder paste with a low melting temperature. Thanks to its high bismuth content, it melts significantly lower than conventional alloys, making it ideal for temperature-sensitive components and for the silver traces printed with the Voltera V-One. It is supplied as a 2 ml cartridge.
The Sn42Bi57.6Ag0.4 alloy consists of 42 % tin, 57.6 % bismuth, and 0.4 % silver. The silver content improves wetting and increases solder joint strength, while the low melting point of approx. 138 °C minimizes thermal stress on sensitive components such as LEDs, sensors, and displays. The paste uses a rosin-based flux.
The Type 4 particle size (T4, approx. 20–38 µm) provides fine paste rheology and is the right choice for most circuits produced on the V-One. For very small components or higher precision, a T5 variant is available as an alternative. The paste is compatible with V-One printed boards and pre-fabricated circuit boards; for best results, 225 µm Subrex nozzles are recommended.
