ArduCAM 5MP Wide-angle Spy Camera 160deg

The ArduCAM team has released a series of camera modules for the Raspberry Pi, including 5MP and 8MP modules. They are fully compatible with the official version and are divided into Standard Version, Optimised Optical Performance Version, Miniature Spy Camera Version, NoIR Version, Motorised IR Cut Version and Programmable Motorised Focus Camera Version. These camera modules support all Raspberry Pi models and require a 15-to-22 pin cable or adapter to work with the Pi Zero.

The ArduCAM 5MP Wide-angle Spy Camera 160deg is another spy camera module that is fully compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero and Pi computer module. This module features a 1/4 inch OV5647 sensor in a fixed focus lens with a 160° angle of view. It also has an integrated IR filter.

The board is very small and measures 60mm x 11.5mm. The neck width of the module is 6mm. Thus it is very suitable for endoscopes, spy surveillance and other applications where image quality and size are important. It is connected to the Raspberry Pi Zero via a short ribbon cable. The camera is connected to the BCM2835 processor via the CSI bus. This connection has a higher bandwidth and only transfers pixel data from the camera to the processor, it is also designed for extremely high data rates.The bus runs along the ribbon cable that connects the camera board to the Pi Zero.
The sensor has a native resolution of 5MP and a fixed focus lens. Static images can be captured at 2592 x 1944 pixels, and video at 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p60/90.
The camera module is connected to the Raspberry Pi Zero via the small jacks on the top of the board.
