Description
Arducam 12MP Stereo Camera Kit for Synchronized Applications
The Arducam 12MP Stereo Camera Kit allows the simultaneous operation of two high-resolution 12MP camera modules via a single MIPI CSI-2 port on Jetson Nano and Jetson Xavier NX platforms. This kit includes two high-quality 12MP camera modules and an Arducam Stereo Camera HAT. The HAT uses ArduChip technology to merge the connection of both cameras into one, enabling seamless recognition by single-board computers. This kit is ideal for building a stereo camera system for depth sensing applications or upgrading an existing IMX219 stereo setup.
Kernel Driver Usage
- This system requires kernel drivers to operate; each kernel version needs a specific driver.
- Not compatible with versions earlier than JetPack 4.3 (L4T 32.3.1).
- Updating or downgrading the operating system may require reinstalling a compatible driver.
- Future JetPack or kernel updates will require new drivers. In case of delays in their availability, please kindly notify us.
Applications:
- Robot navigation
- Object tracking
- 3D measurements
- 3D reconstructions
- Vision applications with depth sensing
Key Features:
- Compatibility: Natively supports Jetson Nano, Xavier NX, Orin Nano, and Orin NX. Note: Not compatible with Raspberry Pi. For Raspberry Pi, refer to version B0265R.
- High Resolution: Includes two cameras with 1/2.3" 12.3-megapixel sensors delivering sharp images at a maximum resolution of 4056(H) x 3040(V). The cameras come equipped with CS-Mount lenses featuring a 6mm focal length, a manual focus ring, and adjustable aperture.
- Hardware Synchronization: Images from both cameras are synchronized at the hardware level, eliminating the need for additional methods such as timestamp synchronization.
- Adjustable Baseline: Unlike fixed stereo camera modules, this kit offers greater flexibility and can be used with an adjustable baseline device controlled by computer systems. This allows quick and dynamic adjustments to achieve stereoscopic binocular vision with human-like degrees of freedom.
