Description

General

The Lightware SF20 Series consist of very compact and lightweight 1D/2D-LiDAR systems with a measuring range of 0,2m . 100m (depending on the Version) with a low tolerancy of only +/-1cm.



Difference between LW20 & SF20 Series

The LW20 LiDAR different when compared with the SF20 series is the protection class. The SF20 has no protection class or IP standart and has therefore a very small weight of only 10g making it very suitable for OEM applications.

Dimensions

Due to the small dimension of only: 29,9 x 30,2 x 19,5mm the SF20 LiDAr fits into almost every application.

Communication & Configuration
 
The SF20 is provided with a 3,3V UART aswell as a I2C Bus allowing the SF20 to interact with QGroundControl and Mission Planner within no time and in addition to that offers the possibility to be used and configured with a computer using a FTDI Converter.
In the graphical Lightware Surface offer several settings and configuration options such as the baud rate, Interface and much more listed below:
  • Laser - Distance measurement, Communication & Encoding
  • Servo - Usage of a PWM servo to buil a 270° 2D-LiDARs
  • Sweep - Regulates the softwarelimitation of scan
  • Alarm - 2D-Alarm (Obstacle Avoidance)
