Description
The Slamtec RPLIDAR S2P is a 360° 2D laser scanner (DTOF, Direct Time-of-Flight) and the longest-range variant of the RPLIDAR S2 series. With a measuring range of up to 50 m (at 90 % reflectivity) and 15 m for dark objects (10 % reflectivity), it is suited to navigation and large-scale mapping of commercial robots – for example in hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and office buildings.
The DTOF technology delivers consistent measuring resolution across the entire distance and reliably detects a wide range of materials – from dark surfaces to highly reflective mirrors and even transparent glass. With a sample rate of 32,000 measurements per second and an angular resolution of 0.1125°, even fine environmental details are captured.
The scanner operates reliably indoors and outdoors and is resistant to strong sunlight of up to 80 klx. The IP65 protection rating and the Class 1 (eye-safe) laser make it suitable for continuous industrial use. Thanks to its compact design (scanning optical area only 18 mm high), it is easy to integrate; via the serial interface it is pin-compatible with the RPLIDAR A series.
