The OpenArm Cell is a standardized, modular research cell for reproducible embodied-AI and robot-learning experiments. It creates a consistent workspace for teleoperation, dataset collection, policy training, and the evaluation of learning methods. Designed and engineered by Enactic, Inc. and manufactured by WowRobo, the cell is part of the OpenArm 2.0 open-source hardware project.
The OpenArm Cell standardizes camera positions, lighting, arm mounting position, and workspace geometry to reduce environmental variation during data collection, training, and evaluation. This makes datasets, policies, and experiments more consistently reproducible across labs and locations. An adjustable vertical structure (Z-axis) expands the range of tasks and supports different object heights and tabletop layouts. The cell is delivered in modular sections, which simplifies international shipping, handling, and future configuration changes; assembly is carried out by the customer after delivery.
Please note: the OpenArm Cell is not a complete robot system. The OpenArm 2 robot arm is not included in the modular kit, although the mounting structure is prepared for its installation.
