ArduCAM 8MP M12 Pi Cam

The ArduCAM team has released a series of camera modules for the Raspberry Pi, including 5MP and 8MP modules. They are fully compatible with the official version and are divided into Standard Version, Optimised Optical Performance Version, Miniature Spy Camera Version, NoIR Version, Motorised IR Cut Version and Programmable Motorised Focus Camera Version. These camera modules support all Raspberry Pi models and require a 15-to-22 pin cable or adapter to work with the Pi Zero.

The ArduCAm team has developed an 8 MP camera which is compatible with the Raspberry Pi. This is based on the same Sony IMX219 image sensor. Static images can be captured at 3280 x 2464 pixels, videos are supported at 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p90. The special standard CSI interface is used for the connection to the Pi. A fast development and evaluation board for sensors is possible via the USB 3.0, as with the IMX219.

To meet the requirements of various lens mounts, field of view (FOV), depth of field (DOF) and motorized IR cut filter for daylight and night vision, this camera is a complement.

Applications of this camera include cell phones, PDAs, toys and other battery-powered products.
