The Performance PC Upgrade for the Clearpath Husky A300™ significantly expands the computing power of the autonomous mobile robot and is specially designed for demanding robotics, AI and research applications. The factory-fitted Mini-ITX computer is completely removed and replaced by a more powerful industrial PC.
The new onboard computer is installed directly in the vehicle chassis and fully integrated into the existing electronics and power-supply architecture of the Husky A300. This provides considerably higher computing power for complex applications such as autonomous navigation, SLAM, image processing, sensor data fusion, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
At the heart of the system is an Intel® Core™ i7-13700TE processor of the 13th generation, developed specifically for embedded and industrial applications. Combined with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, the system offers ample performance and storage capacity for extensive ROS/ROS2 projects, high-resolution sensor data and local AI inference.
For wireless communication, the computer features WiFi 6, enabling fast and reliable network connections for remote maintenance, data transfer or integration into research networks. The scope of delivery also includes a Bluetooth hand controller (gamepad), which allows convenient manual control of the Husky A300 – ideal for testing, commissioning and development work.
The system is supplied ready to use and already includes Ubuntu Linux, ROS (Robot Operating System) and the vehicle-specific Husky software from Clearpath Robotics. This allows development and deployment of robotic applications to begin immediately after commissioning.
