Description

The Hokuyo UST-Series provides a series of high-performance LiDARs wich can be used for high demanding research or industrial usage in the field of automatization technique. Due to the small footprint of only a few centimeters wich comes with a scan range that is higher than average with 40Hz, The LiDAR is often used for UGVs. Therefore one LiDAR is attached at the front right corner and one at the back left corner to create a virtual safety zone around the vehicle. The founded data can then be used in ROS or other middlewares with other fitting algorithms for collision avoidance, SLAM or autonome navigation. For safety-critical applications we recommend the HOKUYO UAM-05 wich can be obtained on our site but requires you to make contact with us first of.
