Description

Our "MBS Industrial PC" line describes a passively cooled embedded computer series, which is predestined for the installation of Unmaned Ground Vehicles (UGV). The Intel CPU's and chipsets are fully compatible with all Ubuntu and ROS versions, so that a possible source of errors due to incompatibility can already be excluded.

The used Intel CPU's (i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon) usually have a TDP of 35W, so the entire housing of the PC is made of aluminum to achieve optimal heat dissipation, even when installed. Due to the massive housing, the PC's are slightly heavier compared to other manufacturers / products, but remain completely unimpressed by shocks, vibrations or accelerations. Because of this we always use these systems for mounting or installation on UGV's.

Difference MBS-H / MBS-HD series

The biggest difference between both product series is the number of interfaces & ports, as well as the CPU used. For most applications the MBS-H series is sufficient, but the MBS-HD series can also be equipped with high-performance Xeon processors with multiple cores & threads, which generate a correspondingly higher waste heat. Please note that the CPU's are soldered, a subsequent upgrade is unfortunately not possible!
