ArduCam OV7251 0.3MP GS USB Camera Evaluation Kit

To make it easier for customers to evaluate cameras or build a prototype with their own circuits without having to deal with complex details such as fine pin-pitch flex cables or solder balls, Arducam has developed a practical evaluation kit. This kit includes camera breakout boards as well as the Arducam USB2/USB3 camera interface and enables use without the need for programming skills.

The Arducam OV7251 MIPI monochrome (black and white) global shutter VGA camera module is specifically designed for use with Raspberry Pi boards. It can be connected directly to the CSI-2 camera interface of the Raspberry Pi without the need for additional hardware. The module is based on the 1/7.5-inch Omnivision OV7251 image sensor, which uses OmniPixel3-GS™ technology. It delivers 8/10-bit MIPI images in full frame, subsample and windowed mode and supports frame rates of up to 100 fps at VGA resolution. At the same time, it offers extensive image quality control options.

Thanks to the global shutter and the sensor's excellent light sensitivity, the camera is suitable for applications such as gesture recognition, head and eye tracking as well as depth and motion detection.
