Description

CAN-BUS is a widely used industrial bus, which is characterized by its long range, medium communication speed and high reliability. It is widely used as a diagnostic bus in the automotive industry and is also widely used in modern machine tools. This CAN bus shield makes the Arduino CAN bus capable. It uses Microchip MCP2515 CAN controller with MCP2551 CAN transceiver, CAN connection is made via standard 9-way sub-D for use with OBD-II cable, ideal for automotive CAN applications. The shield also features a micro SD card holder that allows you to save diagnostic information directly to the SD card, making this shield ideal for data logging applications.
