Description

The 5MP camera from Arducam’s USB 3.0 series is a high-performance monochrome global shutter camera, designed for superior image quality. With its high sensitivity, low noise, and optimized quantum efficiency (QE) in the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum, it delivers outstanding results, especially in low-light environments.

Offering a resolution of 2592 × 1944 pixels and up to 25 fps at full 5MP, it enables smooth and detailed video capture. The low-distortion M12 lens further ensures sharp, accurate, and realistic images.

Thanks to the integrated Image Signal Processing (ISP) – including debayering, gamma correction, and color optimization – the camera produces clear and precise results. It is ready to use right out of the box (plug-and-play) and works without additional drivers on both Windows and Linux. With USB 3.0, it reaches full performance while maintaining backward compatibility with USB 2.0.

Typical Applications

  • Mobile facial recognition
  • Stereo vision and structured light systems
  • Automatic identification & data capture (e.g., QR scanners, drones)
  • Smart home appliances
  • SLAM in robotics and smart home systems
