DroneCAN RM3100 Professional Grade Compass

DroneCAN RM3100 Professional Grade Compass

  • cable length: 27cm/42cm

Description

The RM3100 compass/magnetometer is a professional-grade sensor module that excels with its outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, drift-free performance, and highly precise magnetic field measurements. It delivers high heading accuracy and reliable orientation for vehicles—even in the presence of minor magnetic interference from motors or metal components, navigation remains stable. For optimal results, the module should be installed as far away as possible from interference sources such as motor coils or metal parts—effectively eliminating one of the most common failure points in unmanned systems.

Based on PNI’s patented magneto-inductive technology, the 3-axis magnetometer offers exceptional resolution of 10 nT and minimal magnetic hysteresis. This makes it ideal for applications requiring the highest precision in heading determination.

Thanks to the integrated DroneCAN protocol, stable and reliable communication is possible over longer distances. System integration is also simplified, as multiple DroneCAN components can be connected via a single bus. Additionally, it does not occupy any serial ports on the flight controller, as no dedicated serial interface is required.
