Description
Stereolabs USB 3.0 Type-C Dual Screw Locking Cable
Extension cable for Stereolabs USB cameras with screw-lockable Type-C connectors at both ends. The two screws on each connector hold the connection where an ordinary USB-C cable eventually works its way loose: on robots subject to vibration, on moving axes, in mobile use, and anywhere an unnoticed disconnection ruins the run.
This turns a benchtop camera into a permanently installed component. The cable is designed specifically for the ZED 2i, whose connector is the only one in the ZED range with the matching screw thread. For the ZED Mini and ZED 2, the standard USB 3.0 Type-C cable is the right choice; ZED X, ZED XM and ZED X One use GMSL2 or MIPI and require different cables.
Your advantages at a glance
- Screw-locked connection: two screws per connector prevent accidental disconnection under vibration and movement
- Greater distance to the camera: compute unit and camera can be placed apart
- Five lengths: from 0.3 m for compact builds to 10 m for large installations
- USB 3.0: full bandwidth for the image stream of the ZED cameras
- Original accessory: released by Stereolabs for the ZED 2i, matching its IP66 construction
Available lengths
| 0.3 m | CBL-221100 – short runs inside the housing or straight to the ZED Box |
| 1.5 m | CBL-221200 – standard length for the mobile robot |
| 3 m | CBL-221300 – camera on a mast or boom |
| 5 m | CBL-221400 – stationary setups with the computer further away |
| 10 m | CBL-221500 – maximum distance for large installations and test rigs |
Typical applications
- Mobile robots and AMRs with a permanently mounted ZED camera
- Robot arms and gantries with moving cable routing
- Test rigs and measurement setups with a remote analysis computer
- Continuous operation in production and logistics
- Vehicles and machinery subject to vibration
Choosing the right length
Don’t pick a longer cable than you need – excess length means more loops inside the housing and more places for the cable to chafe.
