Description
The OpenMV PS5520 5MP HDR Camera Module is an interchangeable module for the OpenMV N6. At its heart is the PS5520 color CMOS sensor with 5 megapixels (2592 × 1944) and rolling shutter. Thanks to FinePixel and HDR technology, it delivers an image with high dynamic range from a single exposure.
This makes the module particularly well suited to scenes with strong light and dark contrasts, for example when direct sunlight is in the frame, indoors or outdoors. With 85 dB dynamic range and 39 dB signal-to-noise ratio, both bright and dark areas of the image retain their detail. At full 5 MP resolution the sensor reaches 30 frames per second, and as much as 45 frames per second in 1080p.
The module is fitted with an M12 lens (3.6 mm focal length, 650 nm IR cut filter) and covers a diagonal field of view of 89.4°. With a power consumption of only 217 mW and an operating temperature range of -30 to 85 °C, it is also suitable for demanding embedded and outdoor applications.
