Description

The NEMA11 from Phidgets has a planetary gear with a ratio of 991044/2057 :1. An encoder or a shaft coupling can be mounted, for this the rear shaft was left free. The step angle at the output of the gear is about 0.018°. By dividing 1.8° by the reduction ratio of the gearbox, you can derive the exact step angle. You need this to use it in calculations. At 0.67A, the stepper motor can generate a torque of max. 60kg-cm. However, it is designed for 32kg-cm. The NEMA11 must be controlled by a chopper drive controller or a constant current drive controller.

Attention: If the motor is connected directly to a power supply, the motor will be destroyed.
