Description

The RPLIDAR A3M1 by SLAMTEC is the perfect combination of a high measurement range, a high sample rate and small dimensions. The A3M1 Laser Scanner can do full 360° scans in almost no time. Due to the SLAMTEC SDK and ROS Interface, that are available for free, the A3M1 can be used for a variety of possible applications.

The A3M1 also comes with an Indoor and Outdoor mode. When configurating the so called "Enhanced Mode" the RPLIDAR makes use of its full measurement range and sample rate. The "Outdoor Mode" however focussed on errors computation due to the incident daylight and therefore binds a high amount of processing power for the inquiry of reliable measurement data.

Connectivity

The RPLiDAR A3M1 comes with an USB UART adapter, that enables the connectiin of the LIDAR with a computer, Intel NUC or Raspberry Pi and furthermore also delivers the A3M1 with power. If and development board is used that has no USB port the USB UART adapter can be unplugged to acquire the data via the UART interface.
