Description

Nova Carter, an advanced robotics development platform powered by the Nova Orin™ reference architecture, accelerates the development and deployment of next-generation Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). The platform integrates the Segway RMP Lite 220 differential drive system, the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, and a comprehensive sensor suite into a fully functional robot, ready for immediate use. Thanks to Segway’s years of expertise in robot design and engineering, Nova Carter is designed with features that are not only ideal for prototyping but also ensure reliable large-scale deployment.

Engineered to seamlessly integrate with the best-in-class NVIDIA Isaac™ AMR autonomy platform, Nova Carter excels in executing critical tasks like surround perception, 3D mapping, and autonomous navigation. This enables Nova Carter to work efficiently in real-world environments. The platform leverages the full range of software offerings within the NVIDIA Isaac™ platform, streamlining the training and deployment of entire fleets of AMRs. By harnessing the power of this integration, Nova Carter ensures a smooth transition from manual to fully autonomous operation, offering safe and efficient navigation in dynamic, unstructured environments.

Nova Carter is co-developed by Segway and NVIDIA and significantly enhances productivity, reduces operational costs, and accelerates large-scale deployment. It is well-suited for diverse industries, including warehouse management, logistics handling, and more. The platform’s combination of rich sensor capabilities, powerful AI computing, and customization options allows it to operate autonomously while ensuring operational safety in environments shared with humans.
