SenseGlove Nova 2 Mount for Meta Quest 3 Controller
Purpose of the Mount
The Nova 2 glove alone cannot determine the hand’s position in space, as it does not include internal spatial tracking.
An external tracking unit is required. With VR headsets such as the Meta Quest 3, a controller or tracker is typically used.
The mount is a holder that attaches the controller or tracker to the Nova 2 glove, allowing Nova 2 to detect the hand’s position and orientation in space.
Without the mount, Nova 2 would remain “stationary” and could not correctly represent hand movements in virtual reality.
Mounting
The mount is attached to the Nova 2 hub, which contains the sensors and actuators.
It is positioned between the hub and the thumb module and fixed using the included screw, without requiring additional tools.
Afterwards, the Meta Quest 3 controller is inserted into the mount. Depending on the controller/tracker, the procedure may vary slightly.
Once mounted, Nova 2 gains full 3D spatial tracking: the hand’s position and orientation become available, enabling accurate virtual interactions.
Features & Compatibility
Nova 2 officially supports Meta Quest 3 controllers.
With the mount and controller, all haptic functions (force feedback, contact feedback, vibrotactile feedback, finger tracking) remain fully usable, and hand position is accurately tracked.
The mount is included in the standard Nova 2 set and allows the installation of various trackers or controllers, including Meta Quest 3.
Advantages of the Solution
Without external tracking, Nova 2 would only know how the fingers move, but not where the hand is located in space.
With the mount and Quest 3 controller, haptics and spatial tracking are combined, enabling immersive and natural VR interaction.
Users benefit from realistic simulations, training, research, and XR applications with full freedom of movement and precise feedback synchronization.
