Description

The Wuji Hand is an advanced bionic robotic hand developed for applications in robotics, research, and human-machine interaction. Its structure and range of motion are modeled on the human hand, enabling precise and versatile manipulation tasks. The hand features 20 active degrees of freedom (DoF), with each finger equipped with four independently controllable joints, allowing complex movements and finely coordinated control of individual digits.

 

Despite its high functionality, the design is exceptionally compact and lightweight. The mechanical skeleton weighs under 600 g, while the overall dimensions closely match those of a human hand. Integrated direct-drive rotary joints with brushless motors enable every movement to be executed with precision and speed. This architecture minimizes friction and allows for highly accurate position Control.

 

The hand has been engineered for realistic grasping and manipulation tasks, achieving a fingertip force of approximately 15 N and a maximum static grasp load of up to 10 kg — making it suitable for both delicate operations and the secure gripping of larger objects. A robust construction ensures industrial-grade reliability: the mechanism is rated for over 300,000 grasp cycles and features a shock-resistant structure capable of withstanding drops from approximately 80 cm.

With its combination of high dexterity, precise control, and rugged construction, the Wuji Hand is particularly well suited for humanoid robots, research platforms, teleoperation, and applications in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics development.
