Alt-Bionics Surge Hand

Alt-Bionics Surge Hand

  • 6-DoF robotic hand
  • Reliable, practical interactions
  • Individual fingers can be replaced in under five minutes without special Tools

Description

Alt-Bionics' robotics solutions focus on the development of high-performance, bionic robotic hands specifically designed for use in humanoid robots. The approach is rooted in prosthetics: by developing for real human applications, the resulting gripping systems are particularly robust, precise, and reliable, making them ideally suited for the demands of modern robotics.

A key feature of these robotic hands is their fully modular design. Individual fingers can be quickly replaced or repaired, minimizing downtime and reducing maintenance costs.

The mechanical construction is based on precisely engineered metal joints that provide high load capacity—supporting up to approximately 18 kg per hand. At the same time, rubberized contact surfaces on the fingers and palm ensure improved grip and stable handling, even in demanding manipulation tasks.

Optionally, the hands can be equipped with high-resolution tactile force sensors. These provide detailed information about contact distribution and enable sensitive closed-loop control, which is essential for precise gripping and manipulation tasks.

By combining a modular design, high mechanical durability, and advanced sensing technology, Alt-Bionics robotic hands offer a powerful foundation for applications in humanoid robotics, particularly where precise and reliable interaction with the environment is required.
