Description

The Arducam IMX335 MIPI Camera Module (B0568) is a 5-megapixel open-source camera for Raspberry Pi and embedded Linux systems. At its heart is the Sony STARVIS IMX335, a back-illuminated 1/2.8″ sensor with 2.0 µm pixels that delivers detailed, sharp images at 2592 × 1944 pixels and 30 fps – even indoors, at dusk or under controlled lighting.

The module ships with an M12 wide-angle lens pre-tuned for the sensor (104.9° diagonal, F1.6, fixed focus from 1.9 m) and an integrated 650 nm IR-cut filter for accurate colour reproduction under normal lighting. Thanks to the M12 mount, the optics can be swapped for other M12 lenses if required.

The camera is fully open source: it is driven by upstream libcamera drivers – a single “dtoverlay=imx335” entry in config.txt is all it takes, no proprietary kernel driver required. Arducam provides full schematics and 3D files, and via rpicam-apps or Picamera2 the module integrates directly into your own vision pipelines. The active libcamera community supports custom ISP tuning.

Typical applications include industrial inspection, smart traffic systems, surveillance and security, agricultural technology and embedded vision prototyping.
