Clearpath Robotics Husky A300 AI Kit (Jetson Orin NX)

  • Processor: Intel i7-13700TE (performance option)
  • GPU: NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX (selectable with 8 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM)
  • Real-time data processing

Description

The Husky A300 AI Kit from Clearpath Robotics with NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX is a powerful upgrade for the Husky A300, specifically designed for demanding AI-based applications such as real-time image processing, 3D LiDAR SLAM, and autonomous navigation.

Technical Features of the AI Kit

  • Processor: Intel i7-13700TE (performance option)
  • GPU: NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX (available with 8 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM)
  • AI Performance:
    • Jetson Orin NX 8 GB: up to 70 TOPS (Sparse INT8) / 35 TOPS (Dense INT8)
    • Jetson Orin NX 16 GB: up to 100 TOPS (Sparse INT8) / 50 TOPS (Dense INT8)
  • Form Factor: Mini-ITX computer, mounted in the Husky A300 electronics tray
  • Operating System: Ubuntu / ROS 2 Jazzy (or compatible Linux distribution)
  • Power Supply: Uses the Husky’s built-in power system; breakouts available for 12 V / 24 V peripheral supply; system supports user power outputs
  • Cooling & Temperature Range: The enclosure and electronics are designed to operate within typical ambient temperatures (e.g., –20 °C to +40/50 °C); altitude or terrain-specific requirements must be considered

Benefits of the AI Kit

  • Real-Time Data Processing: Enables fast computation directly on the robot (“edge computing”), without relying on external servers.
  • Advanced Sensor Data Processing: Efficiently handles large volumes of data from cameras, LiDAR, and other sensors.
  • Integration Flexibility: Provides greater flexibility for integrating peripherals and sensors.
  • System Performance Optimization: Enhances overall system performance and enables more complex tasks.

Integration & Compatibility

The AI Kit leverages the existing modular structure of the Husky A300, including power supply, Ethernet connections, and available space in the electronics tray, to securely and stably mount the new PC. Integration of custom hardware components requires mechanical installation, power supply, and software integration. Clearpath Robotics provides comprehensive documentation and support.

Power Supply & Expansions

  • Standard: 12 V @ 10 A, 24 V @ 5 A, VBAT @ 5 A
  • Optional Upgrade: VBAT @ 40 A for additional power requirements

Additional Options: For specific requirements, additional power options and breakout modules can be added.
