Clearpath Robotics Husky A300 High Power User Breakout

  • supply external devices, peripherals or sensors
  • integrated into the modular structure of the Husky
  • Ambient temperatures: -20 °C to +40 °C Operating conditions

Description

The User Power Breakout (also called “High Power User Breakout”) refers to the available electrical connectors or power outputs of the Husky A300, which allow users to directly power external devices, peripherals, or sensors.

Technical data

Voltage / Power Source | Nominal Current | Notes

  • 12 V @ 10 A → 10 amperes → For peripherals requiring 12 V power supply
  • 24 V @ 5 A → 5 amperes → For devices requiring 24 V
  • VBAT @ 5 A → 5 amperes → VBAT = battery voltage (≈ 25.6 V with standard battery)
  • VBAT @ 40 A (optional) → 40 amperes → For high-power applications; optional upgrade path

Use Cases & Importance

  • These outputs allow peripherals (e.g., cameras, LiDAR, additional computers, sensors, lighting, etc.) to be powered directly from the mobile Husky A300, eliminating the need for separate power supplies or batteries.
  • Especially critical when connecting high-power devices (e.g., high-performance cameras or GPUs). In such cases, the VBAT @ 40 A option is essential to ensure sufficient power delivery.
  • The breakout is integrated into the modular structure of the Husky; the connectors are accessible via defined points on the chassis or in the electronics tray.

Operation & Environmental Conditions

  • These power outputs are part of the Husky’s overall electrical system. Standard operating conditions affect their load capacity:
  • Operating temperature range: –20 °C to +40 °C.
  • Electrical safety, fuses, and protective circuits are described in detail in the user Manual.
