Description

Pixhawk® 4 Flight Controller – Overview and Technical Details

The Pixhawk 4 combines cutting-edge processor technology from STMicroelectronics® with sensors from Bosch® and InvenSense® along with the NuttX real-time operating system. The result is a powerful, flexible, and reliable flight controller suitable for any type of autonomous vehicle.

The Pixhawk 4’s microcontroller features 2 MB of flash memory and 512 KB of RAM. With this increased power and memory, developers can implement more complex algorithms and models, making development work more efficient.

High-performance, low-noise IMUs onboard provide precise stabilization. All sensors offer “data-ready” signals routed to separate interrupt and timer pins, enabling exact time-stamping of sensor data. Newly designed vibration dampening allows even more accurate readings, improving overall flight performance.

Two external SPI buses with six chip-select lines allow the connection of additional sensors and SPI-compatible payloads. There are four I²C buses in total: two for external sensors and two combined with serial ports for GPS/compass modules.

Note:

  • M10 GPS requires PX4 version 1.14 and ArduPilot version 4.3 or newer.

Nahezu jedes Robotik.- oder allgemein Elektronikprojekt benötigt eine gewisse Logik. Diese Logik kann entweder durch aktive Bauelemente oder ganze Entwicklungsboards erreicht werden.
