Lightware LW20

  • LW20/HA (100m)
  • Range 0.2 to 100 m
  • Accuracy of less than 1 cm
  • Direct integration with PX4, ArduPilot, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and the LightWare Studio software

Description

The LightWare LW20/HA is a high-accuracy, ultra-compact laser rangefinder with a range of 0.2 to 100 m in an IP67 enclosure. With sub-1 cm accuracy over the entire range and a weight of just 19.5 g, it sets a new standard for compact 100 m sensors in robotics, UAV platforms, and safety-critical applications.

The LW20/HA is the high-accuracy evolution of the proven LW20/C and shares its compact, rugged, and easy-to-integrate form factor. Improvements in engineering and manufacturing deliver consistently high accuracy across the full 100 m range, even in bright sunlight. This unlocks new opportunities in UAV applications, robotics, and safety solutions.

With an update rate of 48 to 1,250 readings per second, first and last pulse detection, and serial UART plus I²C interfaces, the sensor integrates flexibly into existing systems. Direct integration with PX4, ArduPilot, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and the LightWare Studio software ensures fast deployment.
