Phidgets DCM4107_1 – NEMA23 Brushless DC Motor with 4.3:1 Planetary Gearbox

The DCM4107 is a 24 V brushless DC motor (BLDC) in NEMA23 format with 4 poles, delivering a torque of 10.2 kg·cm at speeds of up to 930 RPM.

Thanks to their built-in Hall-effect sensors, brushless DC motors allow convenient position and velocity control. They run quieter and last longer than comparable brushed motors. The attached planetary gearbox with a reduction ratio of approx. 4.3:1 provides higher torque at a correspondingly reduced speed.

Connection

This motor must be driven by a brushless DC motor controller that can both drive the three motor wires and read the Hall-effect feedback from the remaining five wires. Compatible controllers include the Phidgets DCC1100_1 (Brushless DC Motor Phidget, 20 A) and DCC1120_0 (30 V 50 A Brushless DC Motor Phidget).
Motor wire assignment: Terminal A = Red, Terminal B = Yellow, Terminal C = Black.
Note: Always disconnect the power supply of the motor controller before rewiring.
