Phidgets 2x DC Motor

  • simultaneous control of two brushed DC motors
  • connects via a VINT Hub Phidget
  • continuous current of up to 4 A

Description

The 2x DC Motor Phidget (DCC1003_0) is an easy-to-use DC motor driver for simultaneously controlling two brushed DC motors. It connects via a VINT Hub Phidget and delivers up to 4 A of continuous current per motor at a supply voltage of 8–30 V DC. Speed (forward and reverse) as well as acceleration are fully controllable in software via the Phidget22 API.

The DCC1003 features built-in galvanic isolation (isolation voltage 3.8 kV DC) for enhanced system reliability, as well as overcurrent protection, polarity protection, and a standard failsafe mode. The ultrasonic PWM frequency of 25 kHz ensures quiet operation. For most applications, a Power Guard Phidget is additionally recommended to protect the power supply against back-EMF voltage spikes generated during braking or direction changes.

Scope of Delivery

  • 1× 2x DC Motor Phidget (DCC1003_0)

Note: Operation requires a VINT Hub Phidget (e.g. HUB0001_0, HUB0002_0 or HUB5000_0) and a Phidget cable. For most applications, a Power Guard Phidget (e.g. SAF2000_0) is also recommended to protect the power supply against back-EMF voltage spikes. All additional components are sold separately.
