Description

The Open Manipulator was developed by ROBOTIS as an additional module for the Turtlebot3 Waffle Pi.Therefore the robot arm is completely ROS supported and is predestined for mobile manipulation.
Furthermore the robot arm can also be used independently by using the adapter plate (Base Plate-02) that can be bought in addition.

The OpenManipulator is based on DYNAMIXEL servomotors of the X-Serie and combined with the OpenCR1.0 controle module (optional component). The servos that can be used reach from the XL430 over the XM430 to the XH430 series, wich can if choosing the V-series be run by up to 24V. This allows it to use the OpenManipulator even for small industrial usages.

For the independent use of the OpenManipulator without the TB3 Waffle Pi it is recommended to use the ROBOTIS OpenManipulator Stand Alone Kit. Attached to the kit is the base plate-02 aswell as an fitting power supply.

Turtlebot 3 Waffle Pi

The OpenManipulator was not only developed as an stand alone device. It can also be used in comination with the Turtlebot 3 Waffle Pi. The Open Source of the robot arm aswell as the integration ist completely documented.
