Description

The RPLidar A1M8 by SLAMTEC is a very compact LiDAR with a measurement range of 0,15 - 12m. Due to the USB / UART Interface and the very flat design height the sensor fits in almost every application regarding the research and development of SLAM, HRI and Navigation.
The delivery content contains a small USB UART adapterboard, that can be used to convert the 8bit protcoll. Furthermore there is a variety of ROS packages and Arduino libraries, that can be used for an easy integration, downloadable for free. If there is somehow still an interface that is not available, the data can be rehashed and further processed using the following pattern.

The data sheet, the Arduino library and the ROS packages can be downloaded in the PDF and Miscellaneous tab of the product.
