The Sabertooth 2x12A Dual Motorcontrollerboard is an very efficient driver module wich can be used in multiple ways espacially for robots based on wheels or chains up to 45kg. The Motorcontrollerboard is designed for a power consumption of 12A per DC-motor with a maximum power consumption of 25A. The Sabertooth Controller can also supply external user with 5V and a maximum of 1A due to the integrated BEC module. This means that a second voltage supply for a possible additional periphery is not needed.

Benefits compared to other Motorcontrollerboards

The Sabertooth 2x12A Dual Motorcontrollerboard is provided with an overcurrent- & overtemperature protection wich automatically puts the Sabertooth controller into safety mode when exposed to high currents. In addition to that the transistors are clocked with 32KHZ wich results in a very silent operation. 


The Sabertooth 2x12A Dual Motorcontrollerboard is controlled via PWM signals. Das Motorcontrollerboard wird mittels PWM signalen angesteuert. This signal type is most commonly used to dim LED's or controll servos that are used in model making. Several single-board computers aswell as Atmega's and ST uC'S are also able to generate PWM signals. An example of a code for controlling via an Arduino Board can be seen HERE.
