The ROS2 EDU KIT is an advanced development kit for robotics enthusiasts, students and researchers. It is compatible with different chassis platforms and offers two models to meet different requirements:

ROS 2 EDU Lite: Equipped with a 2D LIDAR, ideal for basic scanning and mapping tasks.
ROS 2 EDU Pro: Equipped with a 3D LIDAR that enables advanced environmental perception.

Features of the ROS2 EDU kit
Despite its compact size, which allows easy mounting on Agile X chassis platforms, the kit offers powerful features. It is based on the ROS 2 Foxy framework and includes essential components for autonomous navigation:

LiDAR for precise distance measurements
IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) for motion detection
depth camera for 3D vision
additional sensors for comprehensive acquisition of environmental data

Versatile applications
The ROS2 EDU kit is powered by an X86 processor and runs on Ubuntu 20.04. This configuration supports advanced systems such as NAV 2 for navigation and Gazebo 11 for simulation. An outstanding feature is the full compatibility with the latest official NAV functions. The open source environment makes the kit suitable for a wide range of applications, including environmental monitoring, agriculture, surveillance and security.
