  • High-precision 4D point clouds
  • Class 1 eye-safe
  • IP67

Description

Voyant’s Carbon is the first 4D FMCW LiDAR sensor specifically designed for industrial applications. With a strong focus on cost efficiency, Carbon delivers high-performance 4D sensing even for the most cost-sensitive applications, breaking cost barriers and transforming the industry.

Carbon provides high-precision 4D point-cloud data at minimal cost, in a compact form factor, and with low power consumption. The sensor delivers instant measurements of velocity, range, and reflectivity without the typical issues of conventional LiDAR systems, thanks to its immunity to blooming, sunlight, and interference from other sensors.

Voyant’s Carbon leverages a unique FMCW technology that surpasses traditional LiDAR systems by delivering instant per-pixel velocity measurements in addition to accurate 3D positioning.

This exceptional performance combined with high affordability is the result of decades of research, culminating in the integration of all optical components and beam steering on a custom LiDAR photonic integrated circuit (PIC). As a result, vertical beam steering is fully solid-state, enabling unprecedented improvements in size and robustness.
