AgileX Piper Mounting Base Plate

  • Bolt circle: 70mm x 70mm
  • Aluminum alloy
  • M5 screws (four pieces, included)

Description

The Mounting Base Plate is an essential component designed to securely and stably attach the AgileX PiPER Robot Arm. It serves as the connection point between the robotic arm and its mounting surface or platform.

Features

Dimensions and Threaded Holes:

  • The base plate is equipped with four pre-drilled M5 threaded holes. The hole pattern measures 70 mm x 70 mm, allowing easy installation with standard screws.

Material and Stability:

  • Constructed from durable materials—typically an aluminum alloy—the plate provides both strength and lightweight properties. This ensures a stable, low-vibration foundation for precise robotic operation. (The entire arm, including the base, is made of aluminum alloy.)

Mounting Method:

  • The base plate can be directly bolted onto a fixed surface or integrated into mobile platforms. Four M5 screws (included in the package) ensure secure and firm attachment of the arm.

Interface Compatibility:

  • The base plate serves as the connection hub for the entire arm structure, allowing power, control cables, and communication interfaces (e.g., power supply, CAN interface) to be routed seamlessly through the base. The electrical ports and control panel are conveniently positioned at the base level.

Environmental and Operating Conditions:

  • Designed for operation in environments with temperatures ranging from −20 °C to +50 °C and relative humidity between 25%–85% (non-condensing). This makes it suitable for laboratories, workshops, and educational environments.

Precision and Repeatability:

  • In combination with the PiPER arm system, the base plate ensures the arm achieves its repeatability of ±0.1 mm, thanks to its tight fit and robust connection that minimize mechanical Play.
